How I Decided to Well-age.

As a Canadian immigrant with Korean heritage, I found myself straddling two distinct cultural backgrounds: the slow-paced, nature-oriented Canadian lifestyle and the fast-paced, trend-driven Korean society. Starting my career in Seoul, I was immersed in a highly competitive and demanding work environment while simultaneously observing the intense focus on skincare and beauty among Korean women.

Growing up, I observed my grandmother, mother, and aunts meticulously following a multi-step skincare routine that included toner, serum, cream, eye cream, and more. In contrast, many Canadian and Americans I encountered opted for a more minimalist approach, often skipping steps like toner or double cleansing. While they embraced natural beauty, I developed a keen interest in skincare, clinical treatments, and the concept of well-aging.

Looking back my childhood, my grandmother, mother, and aunts always had 5-7 step skincare routine on their skincare counter, from toner, serum, cream, eye cream, etc.

Whereas In Canada many women skipped toner or double cleansing, or SPF part in skincare— rather embracing the natural beauty than preventing it strategically.

Witnessing the transformative power of skincare from a young age, I developed a deep passion for beauty and wellness. While working in the advertising industry, I realized that the beauty industry often focused on superficial fixes and unrealistic standards. Inspired by my multicultural heritage and a belief in natural beauty, I founded BOUTIJOUR with the aim of empowering individuals to embrace their unique beauty and age gracefully.

BOUTIJOUR redefines anti-aging as "well-aging," offering a holistic approach to enhancing and beautifying skin at every age. Our products utilize high-quality botanical Korean ingredients and cutting-edge technology to create effective formulas that promote healthy, resilient skin. By embracing the concept of well-aging, we aim to inspire and support individuals in loving themselves and their skin.

Our X-Lifting Mask and Lotus Melight Eye Patch are among our most popular well-aging skincare products, designed to address common concerns like hyperpigmentation and sagging skin. I encourage you to incorporate one or both of these products into your daily routine and experience their transformative effects.
